Ray began this nice fall day with some morning excitement.
He had this 5-point (no brow tines) come up on him rather quickly and begin to move away just as quickly. From the time he first saw it to the time he took his shot (7:43 a.m.) was no more than ten seconds. So--in those few seconds the deer was under him, he didn't have lot of think time. He saw light-colored antlers and thought "venison" and took the shot.
The deer dropped about 50 yards from where the shot was taken.
This is buck #51 for Ray. He looks pretty happy doesn't he!
