When we got there, they had three different beers for us to choose from--which I thought was odd since they don't drink--so with beer in hand, we were immediately sent out to the patio. They did not need any help in the kitchen. It wasn't long and Jaime disappeared into the house and Jeff was working in the kitchen and we were out on the patio with our beers and all three of the grandkids. Ray happened to turn to look over his left shoulder and saw a car just like Bob's slowly driving up to Jaime & Jeff's house.
Bob & Rae Ann had left after work on Thursday and drove up from North Carolina for the weekend. What a surprise! Jaime didn't stay on the phone with me because she was afraid she would leak the secret. We had a wonderful day with Jaime & Jeff and the kids and Rae Ann & Bob. Life is good.
Rae Ann & Bob spent Friday and Saturday night at out house. Ray & I went to the Bay City Fireworks display on Saturday night while Rae & Bob had dinner with Mike & Cheryl. The fireworks were the best ever. We sure enjoyed Rae Ann & Bob's company and hated to see them leave on Sunday morning, but they both had to work on Monday.
