Becky called this CHRISTmas Eve and stated that the bills had begun arriving. Remember, there were 3 surgeons operating on her as well as an anesthesiologist plus hospital costs for 5 days and various and sundry other costs. Well, the first bill was for over $66,000. And--the insurance company is refusing to pay for the surgery. Apparently the case is being filed as "malpractice" by the insurance company! It had only been 1 1/2 years since her first back surgery to repair the same thing. In the paperwork she received, she was asked whether she had a lawyer to represent her in the case, and there was a lot of paperwork that she must complete by a specific deadline in January. So, whether to sue Dr. B in Watertown is no longer a question Becky must ponder. The insurance company has made that decision for her. Thanks be to God! I know she was suffering through the moral issue of a law suit. May God's will be done in this matter.
